1959 - USS Cusk (SS-348) Year by Year History

Crewmembers, Pictures and Memorabilia

Captain Robert E . Crawford, LCDR was the commanding officer of the Cusk in 1959. Early in the year on the 3rd of February, the Cusk was performing training exercises with the USS Lansing, DER-388, just outside of Pearl Harbor. The exercise was named Z-33-a-U. Shortly afterward, the Cusk got underway for an extended training cruise in Alaska. She returned to Pearl Harbor several months later in July, 1959.
